Sullivan sure loves his daddy. In fact, I believe Sullivan may be turning into more of a daddy's boy than a mommy's boy. Although it makes me a little sad he's changing I'm also very happy he loves his daddy so. Mike is an amazing daddy and has such a big imagination when it comes to playing with Sullivan. They make up songs, play hide and seek, craft up recipes with his play food, build tents, tunnels, and nests and they even tuck his animals in for nap. I could sit and watch those two any day. I love that their bond gets stronger and than those two have something special that even I can't give Sullivan. I sure do have one little amazing family.
Like anyone on the first day of Summer, we did all things outside. Sullivan was begging to go in his pool at 7:30 that morning. I was able to hold him back until 10:00, but even then the neighbors still looked at us funny on their was home from church.
His vibrant soul did not care one bit on how cold the water was. Splishing and splashing, he was squirming like a work in his too small for him pool. We came inside around 11:30 for lunch and settled for a nap. By 2:30 he was back out there again!
With only 5 more days of June left, it won't be long before the summer is over. That means a little boy venturing to preschool, a baby arriving in the fall, football games, crisp air and today marks 6 months until Christmas. I wish time would slow down a bit. We need more time with this little boy and our summer days before our family turns to 4. We need more time before the weather gets cooler and the days get shorter. We need more time before 2015 turns into 2016.
We hit the halfway mark on Saturday. It's crazy to believe I'm 20 weeks pregnant already and only 20 weeks left before our family grows by 2 feet. We still have lots to do to prepare but first we have the all important question, "Is it a boy or a girl!?" Well this Thursday is the day we get to see our baby on screen and hopefully find out. We decided to take a different route this time and instead of finding out at the hospital we plan to seal it in envelope for a later reveal. At 19-20 weeks these kicks are getting stronger and it won't be long and soon Sullivan and daddy will be able to feel them too. Today I was listening to some music while working and the baby was moving and a groovin'. Maybe we have a future dancer, raper, musician?? I also still continue to have such different experiences with this pregnancy that when I was pregnant with Sullivan. I already have swollen feet, weekdays are worse than weekends but I think that has to do with sitting at a desk all day and it being summer weather. I can be an emotional roller coaster, just ask my husband. I have had more pimples appear on my face than when I was in high school. And I still have days where food just isn't that appealing. Not sure what that all means but hopefully I will get the pregnancy "glow" soon! Stay tuned for a gender reveal coming up! Don't forget to vote if you think it's a boy or a girl. There's still time.
