Can you believe Christmas was already a week ago? I have love/hate feelings with the holidays. I love the moments of celebrating with family, the magic of Christmas morning and all the hype leading up to it, but I really hate when it's over and how fast those weeks of Christmas and New Years fly by. Especially when my days are getting into single digits before I head back to work. My time home with the boys has been amazing. I love being home with them so much!
Christmas Eve is always spent with my family. We've been celebrating on Christmas Eve night since I was in high school if not sooner. Before the days of grandchildren, I remember staying up late with all my family playing games or watching movies and then all of us caravanning to midnight mass. It was always so beautiful at my parent's church. Now today, the grandkids run and play with toys, we still play games just more kid friendly. It will be interesting to see how our Christmas is spent in another 10 years when the grandchildren are much older.
Our boys had a great Christmas. Jett was passed around and spoiled being held by his aunts, cousins and grandparents. Sullivan was a wild man running after his older cousins and getting some great gifts. Santa even delivered exactly what Sullivan asked for, a train set and I got a white Christmas. Mike and I treated each other to some nieces gifts that both of us can enjoy so it was win win all around.
We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed some time with loved ones and friends.
