A walk in the park

It has been a gorgeous fall weekend! After working yesterday morning, Mike, Sullivan and I headed out in the afternoon to run some errands.

Later that evening we decided to head to Pfeiffer Park for a little stroll. The crisp air felt good and the view wasn't bad either. Sullivan loved the stroller ride and by the end of our little walk he had fallen asleep. I found these cute little acorns to use as a fall centerpiece.

Before work yesterday morning I stopped over at the Cedar Falls farmer's market to get some little pumpkins and gourds. More pictures to come with Sullivan and his cute little orange pumpkin. Hope everyone got to enjoy this beautiful weather.

Do I look like my daddy?

Mike showed me this picture of himself from when he was a toddler. I have always felt Sullivan looks a lot like his daddy. It seems when we pull out Mike's pictures from when he was little that confirms my thoughts even more. Sullivan continues to change as he gets older so we are curious to see if his looks will continue to look like Mike or if he will start to look like his momma.

We do know two things Sullivan got from me though, 1. his blue eyes and 2. his brown hair.

Do you think they look a like?

Weekend Visitors

This past weekend my sister and her boys strolled down for a visit. She needed her Sullivan fix and I needed some family time. I used see my sister and her family almost every day when I lived back home. I miss them a lot but am so glad I get to see them often. My sister is such an amazing lady/mother/sister and I feel so blessed to have her in my life.

The Merrill's arrived around 9:30/10:00 and shortly after we loaded up the car to do a little shopping. Did you know a Ford Focus can hold two adults in the front and three car seats in the back? Yup, we managed to fit Asher, Landon and Sullivan all in the back seat with my sister and I in the front.

It was a great time shopping. All the boys did such a great job and about three hours later we headed back to my place. Below is some pictures of the day. I have to laugh and the one with the three boys. This photo was taken after Sullivan made a very loud and juicy messy. Landon laughed so hard!

Sunday Funday

This Sunday was spent at home with nothing on the agenda. Our goal was to relax, take naps, watch football and spend as much time with Sullivan as possible. After a nice long morning nap, Sullivan woke up bright eyed and happy. After eating we decided to try out his play mat and let him do a little wiggling. Here a video of him having fun!

Life is Good!

Today was the perfect Sunday. Slept in a little, went to church, cleaned the house, Beef Stew simmered in crock pot all day for dinner, made pumpkin bars for dinner and my two favorite boys took naps. My life couldn't be any better. I love these two boys with all my heart!

2 months old

Today Sullivan turned 2 months old. My o' my time is flyin' by!! He is really starting to change and his little personality is shining through.

Today we had his 8 week doctor's appointment with shots. No fun at all but both mom and Sullivan did better than I thought we would. He is now fast a sleep after eating and a nice bath. Be sure to check out Sullivan's stats on the left!

Sullivan's Smile

A couple of weeks ago Sullivan started to really smile when being talked to. It's the cutest thing and his smile is so big. Melts my heart when he smiles at his momma! On Monday morning I took a video so you all can see. I hope he makes your day a little brighter, I know he does for me.....

Labor Day Weekend

I've been looking forward to a nice long weekend since I went back to work. This weekend was spent at my parent's house. It was so nice to head back home and see all the family. I miss them so going home is always a good time.

On Saturday Stacy, Cathy, Eryn and I headed to LaCrosse to do a little shopping. Top on my list was Once Upon A Child. It's a second hand store only carrying clothes, toys and necessities for infants, toddlers and kids. I love this store! They also have stores in Rochester, MN and Cedar Rapids, IA but I recommend going to the one in LaCrosse. It's the biggest and the best.

Michael stayed back at my parent's house with my mom and Sullivan. Sunday morning was spent with family again then it was off to Cedar Falls again by late afternoon. The rest of the weekend was spent being lazy and hanging out with my boys.

Oh by the way, my sister scored this awesome swing for Sullivan to use at my parent's house. We ended up taking it home because he loves it. Thanks Stac!
