Breaking it in

We had a beautiful and productive weekend. It so nice to have warmer weather and sunshine. It seems to lift everyone spirits and get the itch to be active, productive, and energized. We did all of that this weekend. We cleaned out our storage in the car port, cleaned some windows, made a nice meal, ran errands, cleaned out the van, put together our new bike trailer/stroller and went for a ride.

We made an investment, by purchasing a bike trailer that converts to a jogging stroller and a regular stroller. This new investment also fits two, however I have no news. We are just thinking ahead for when/if we have another. In the meantime Sullivan has more than enough room for himself and any toys and stuffed animals he wants to bring along.

It was a little bit of a pain to put together, mainly for the poor instructions that were included. Now that we have it set up, currently in the jogging stroller option, I love it! I think Sullivan will love it too, he did  enjoy his first ride but it took a little while. Our little man is VERY independent and wanted to get out and push it rather than riding in it.

Here's a couple of snapshots of us after we got home. Pardon the horrible picture of me, I was not aware I was in the picture. Also, no I did not coordinate my attire with the stroller. I did however have someone ask me that as we were out on our walk.

The home stretch of winter?

It appears we've been hibernating for what I hope is the tail end of winter. Hopefully I still have some loyal readers.

My excuse is...life is busy. Our little boy is getting busier and busier. Between what I sometimes think is the "terrible twos" already and Mike and I both working full time jobs it seems like we never have time to catch up and just absorb all of our little Sullivan. Lately I've been trying to take time to do that so blogging has been pushed to the back burner.

Our little Sullivan is almost 21 months old. He's the right combination of spunky and sweet. He is very attached to all of his blankies, "Woof" his puppy and "Baby" his bear. Every night we haul him and all his loot into his crib and then back out every morning. As annoying as it can be at 5:30 in the morning, I love it! And trust me, he does keep track and will know if we leave one behind. Sullivan also can count to 6. Right now he loves Elmo, buses, any cleaning supplies or equipment,  "buttball" which is a football or a basketball and being outside. Hopefully the weather will warm up and keep getting warmer so we can go for some walks. We went for one walk so far this year and Sullivan cried most of the way. I think it was because it was a little cold yet, he was hungry and the sun was in his eyes. We will try again, hopefully soon!

This past weekend, Mike's parents came to visit. Sullivan loved it. Him and his grandma read books and played for a long time. Hoping this week goes fast so the weekend get here. I love weekend.

Winter Boredom

I feel like this winter is never going to end! This weekend we definitely were feeling the winter blues and getting stir crazy being stuck in the house.

Of course, it snowed again on Friday and Saturday, and like usual we had cold temps. Sullivan must be sick of being cooped up in the house because this weekend was full of causing trouble, being fussy and testy and boycotting anything we asked him to do or not to do. He's either stir crazy or hitting the "terrible twos" early, or maybe both?

Besides all that, and wishing and hoping Spring would come early and this snow would magically disappear, we dug out some toys we haven't played with in a while. We bought this slide at a second hand store a while ago. At the time, Sullivan was a little young and needed help getting to the top of the slide and supervision going down. Having not seen it for a while, he knew exactly what to do. He now can climb the steps all by himself and slide down on his butt or face first.

My weekend was spent prepping meals for the week, surfing Pinterest, and watching Elmo for the millionth time.
