Night out on the Town
This past weekend we headed up to my folks to spend time with family. It was a beautiful weekend. Mike and I had time to check out downtown Decorah with the boys on Saturday. I love the new little shops in town and later that afternoon we ventured over to one of my good friends house. Later that evening my parents watched the boys and Mike and I went on a little date.
We had dinner with my sister and her husband at the White House in St. Lucas. This is one of my favorites! It's a cute little supper club with the yummiest food. After dinner and a few drinks we met up with my brother and sister-in-law at a local bar to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. Not sure the last time we went to a bar or even out on a date!

Roll over, Roll over!
There's been a few times Jett has rolled over around his 4 month birthday, but nothing consistent.
This week he's really perfected his roll and now we can't seem to keep him on his back! In addition to rolling over, once he's on his belly he does this inch worm thing that almost scoots him forward. Watch out world, pretty soon we'll have a mover. Have I mentioned time is going too fast? He really needs to slow down! I'm not ready for my littlest to get big.

Dr. Seuss Week
Last week at preschool Sullivan and his friends learned about Dr. Seuss. The week was planned out with something special each day. This gave our little boy something to look forward to, and was he excited. I think his favorite day was crazy hair day with a close second of pajama day.
He learned about rhyming, counting, thing 1 and thing 2 and green eggs and ham. They must have tried green eggs and ham because Sullivan said he loves it.
Monday:
Mismatch Day
Tuesday:
Wacky Sock Day
Wednesday:
Crazy Hair Day
Thursday:
Stripe Day (sorry, no picture taken that day)
Friday:
Pajama Day

Mommy & Son Date Day
This day has been a long time coming. With Jett being a part of our family, most of my time is dedicated to tending to Jett or pumping. Unfortunately my one on one time with Sullivan has shortened. I no longer pick him up or take him to daycare on a regular basis, daddy now does that so I can get Jett to his daycare. Play time at night has also been shortened so that I have time to pump, make dinner, clean up, feed Jett and get bed time routine going. Needless to say we were long over due for some one on one time, just the two of us.
It's been a while since we attempted going to the movies. The first and last time I took Sullivan it was two winters ago and we ended up leaving the theater halfway through. This time was different, Sullivan is a little older and it was just me and him. We took advantage of a free movie at our local theater, and this past week's selection was Home. It was such a cute movie! Sullivan did great. He devoured his popcorn, lemonade and fruities almost all before the movie started and for the most part he sat still for it. We had a couple of moments where he got a little antsy and where he had to stand up and dance to the music.
Most definitely we will be having another date very soon.

4 Months
Today our little Jett boy turns 4 months!! So crazy how fast time is going. This by far is my favorite stage. He's still a baby, still can't move just yet, but his personality is starting to shine and he's just so fun.
At 4 months, Jett:
He is such a blessing to us. We can't thank God enough for the amazing gift of being his parents.
At 4 months, Jett:
- drinks about 5 ounces ever 3 hours (although most recently he's being a little selective on his milk)
- sleeps from 8 :15pm to 6:15am
- Has rolled over a couple of times but we're still waiting for it to be a regular occurrence (almost there!)
- Loves when he gets attention and people talk to him
- Talks up a storm
- Chews on his hands like crazy
- No teeth
- Loves stroller rides & baths
- Hates getting nails clipped or when left alone too long by himself in a room
He is such a blessing to us. We can't thank God enough for the amazing gift of being his parents.
