What a busy weekend! On top of a landscaping project we were finishing up on, we also were getting the rest of the house ready for a birthday party and trying to enjoy our Nation's Independence Day.
Sullivan and I headed back home to my parents' house last Thursday night for fireworks and then a parade in the morning. Sullivan has never been to fireworks so I was a little nervous how it was going to work out. First, Sullivan has never been up that late. He and his parents are usually pretty set on a bedtime routine which means he is in bed no later than 8:15 pm. Fireworks that night didn't start until 9 pm. By the time they were done it was 10:30! He handle it very very well. He was giggling and very vocal during the fireworks. He oo'd and ah'd and wow'd all through the fireworks as the colors light up the sky and the loud booms were hear throughout the little town. He loved them and I can't wait to bring him to more.
Every 4th of July another small town close to Calmar hold a parade. It's such a cute little parade that seems to attract more and more people every year. Sullivan had lots of fun seeing his cousins, fire trucks, tractors and picking up candy.
Hope you all had time to relax and do something fun!
