Jett is One Month!

Where o where has the time gone! I cannot believe that one month ago our family gained another member. Yet it's hard to imagine that Jett has only been with us for one month, it's crazy to think that he's one month old already and that I only have one more month left of maternity leave. Sad, I'm not even thinking or talking of the word January.

Jett is such a joy and continues to be a wonderful baby. Last night we only got up with him once. He went down around 10, woke up at 4:30 for a feeding and didn't wake up again until 7:45. He loves to eat. At every feeding he's pounding down 3 1/2 ounces. He eats about every 2-3 hours during the day and during the hours from 8-10 he sometimes likes to play catch up or stock up and will eat every hour and a half. When he's not eating he loves sleep or loves to look around. When awake, this boy is alert. I have heard from several people, family, friends, and coworkers that they can't believe how much he loves to look around and look at the person holding him. 

From the day he was born he's shown us how strong is head is and he's only strengthened his head control over the last month. We do tummy time and will spend small amounts of time on the play mat or swing. But his favorite spot is right in your arms or on your chest. He's a cuddler.

Jett is also just starting to talk and smile. Him and I have several conversations a day and have only begun to get his smile and talks on camera. We can't wait to watch him grow, but are trying to savor ever minute of the day. Babies grow way too fast!
